Hi Keith
Great podcast ! Would it be possible to use an iPad minim as a monitor ? Is there some way I can hook this up to my GH2 ?
Thank you
Dennis
I just gave you a good rating on iTunes.
Hi Dennis – funny that you should ask, even before the original iPad came out, I was really hoping that I could use it as a monitor – I mean why not get an iPad with it’s amazing screen for less than a similar dedicated monitor? Unfortunately even if it is possible through something like what is offered at camranger.com, the result will not be that usable as a monitor due to high latency, maybe as a still photography monitor only. The iPad has no ‘video in’ at all. I do believe you could do this with an Android tablet with some jury rigging. My solution was just to get a dedicated monitor, small HDMI monitors are getting a lot less expensive these days like in the $100 range or so. Look for Lilliput brand monitors for the low end. Again thanks for your support and if you ever buy stuff through Amazon (they sell monitors there) do us a favor and us the link techmovepodcast.com/amazon – thanks again!
